Child Development Laboratory - The Nursery School
Thank you for visiting our home on the World Wide Web! The West Virginia University Child Development Laboratory (The Nursery School), a unit of Technology, Learning and Culture, is designed to provide observational opportunities and practicum experience for West Virginia University students majoring inchild development and family studies, curriculum and instruction, and other related areas.|
|
The center has a full-time director, as well as a full-time teacher, and a graduate assistant who is assigned as a teacher of the children. Additional students serve as assistants. There is usually a teacher-child ratio of one to four. In recent years a waitlist has developed, which makes it necessary to place a child on the list at a very early age in order to insure enrollment at age three.
