HR&E Graduation Information
May 2008
Graduates and their guests are invited to attend the HR&E Commencement Ceremony and a Reception following the Ceremony. Information about the Commencement Ceremony, the Reception and appropriate Graduation Regalia (i.e. caps, gowns, etc.) can be found below.

Date: Saturday, May 17, 2008
Location: WVU Coliseum
Graduation guests can enter the Coliseum from the Blue, Gold, Green, and Red Gates.

Time:
Graduates need to report at 8:30 a.m.
- with their academic regalia (i.e. cap, gown, etc.)
- to the Red Gate Entrance (enter through the Red Gate and follow the signs to the check-in area)
Commencement Ceremony — Starts at 9:30 a.m.
Invitations:
Invitations will be mailed to the graduate’s permanent address by April 4, 2008.
Please RSVP by May 2, 2008. While there is abundant seating in the Coliseum, we need to have this information so that we can plan for the reception that follows.
Disability Accommodations:
Disability Accommodations are available for the Commencement Ceremony.
Request for an accommodation must be made by Monday, May 5th

Photographs
A Photographer from WVU Photography Services will be taking individual pictures of each graduate (which will be paid for by the College) during the commencement ceremony. Each graduate will be given one free digital download and can order additional prints through Photography Services.
Graduates and their guests are invited to attend a the College of Human Resources & Education Reception immediately following the ceremony at the Shell Building located beside the Coliseum (see map).
If you wish to walk, you should exit through the Green Gate, walk down the steps past the Natatorium (on your left), and enter the Shell Building.
A free shuttle from the Coliseum to the Shell Building will be available for those who prefer not to walk. Just follow the signs.
Individual locations for the six departments and the Benedum Collaborative will be marked inside the Shell Building.
This should be a good time for you to take pictures with faculty, friends and family.
Graduation Regalia(caps, gowns,
tassles, hoods)
In order to insure consistency in the gowns and the colors of the academic regalia used in the Commencement Ceremony, caps, gowns, tassles and hoods should be ordered from the WVU Bookstore (304.293.7467).
