Doretta WalkerVision Statement
Our vision is to nurture and to support equity, to enrich our college through diversity, and to provide a sense of community that is manifest in our work as citizens of the College of Human Resources and Education. We believe that it is the responsibility of every individual in our college to develop attitudes that recognize human differences as strong assets and engage in relationships that value the strength that diverse experiences bring to our college.
Objectives
- Provide opportunities to promote a socially just and culturally divers community of faculty, staff, administrators, and students. This objective includes diversity of race, ethnicity, language, gender, religion, sexual orientation, social class, and special needs.
- Enhance the multicultural competence of HR&E faculty, staff, and students as well as the teachers, counselors, administrators, speech pathologists, and audiologists who supervise field experiences.
- Collaborate with programs across the university that support and enhance our vision for multiculturalism and diversity
