As of July 1, 2006, the College has a new alignment of academic departments, which has been designed to meet the current demands for several programs. Previously organized into four departments, the College now consists of six departments. The Department of Speech Pathology & Audiology and the Department of Counseling, Rehabilitation Counseling & Counseling Psychology remain as they have been configured in the past. The four new departments are: Curriculum & Instruction/Literacy Studies; Educational Leadership Studies; Special Education; and Technology, Learning & Culture. The Child Development & Family Studies Program, which has resided in the Davis College of Agriculture, Forestry and Consumer Science for the last 20 years, has recently returned to the College and is located in the Department of Technology, Learning & Culture.
