Undergraduate Programs

The College of Human Resources and Education (HR&E) has two undergraduate bachelor degree programs: one for students who are preparing to become speech-language pathologists or audiologists and one for students who wish to become teachers.

The undergraduate degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology is a pre-professional program that prepares students who are interested in graduate study and careers in speech-language pathology and audiology. Students engage in active learning throughout their undergraduate program which culminates their senior year in a supervised clinical experience and research opportunity.

The Five-Year Teacher Education Program, entitled Benedum Collaborative Model of Teacher Education, is an integrated dual-degree program where students simultaneously pursue a Bachelor of Arts degree in the content specialization and a Master of Arts in education. Students who are part of the Five-Year Teacher Education program are among a select group of students who are committed to becoming the finest teachers possible and who will be able to demonstrate their readiness with a portfolio that showcases their individual accomplishments.
