The College of Human Resources and Education (HR&E) is divided into six separate departments:

- Department of Counseling, Rehabilitation Counseling, and Counseling Psychology
- Department of Curriculum & Instruction/Literacy Studies
- Department of Educational Leadership Studies
- Department of Special Education
- Department of Speech Pathology & Audiology
- Department of Technology, Learning & Culture
Individuals can earn masters or doctoral degrees in each of these departments.
The graduate programs offered through the College of HR&E provide
graduate students with clinical experiences and research opportunities.
Graduate students are also exposed to faculty who have doctoral or advanced
degrees in their field, and who work collaboratively with national,
state and community agencies or organizations. HR&E faculty are
engaged in extensive research and are considered experts in their field
of study.
