Welcome to Future Students
We are glad that you are visiting our website to learn more about what
it would be like to be a student in the College of Human Resources &
Education at WVU and where your studies might lead you.
Students in our college prepare for a variety of rewarding professions.
Some of our graduates immediately enter the workplace while others pursue
additional education in graduate programs. Most graduates, who are geographically
mobile, secure employment after graduation with apparent ease, and some
programs boast of a 100% employment rate for their program completers.
The college has three programs for students who come directly to us
with a high school degree:
- Teacher preparation program (where graduates complete both a bachelor's and a master's degree in five years)
- Child development and family resources program
- Speech pathology and audiology program

Graduate students also have a number of
program options.
Whatever the program that you choose, you will find relatively small
class sizes in our college and a skilled and approachable faculty that
is interested in you and willing to help you develop the skills that
you will be seeking.
There are lots of opportunities for you to make friends with other students
through classroom interactions, internships, and other student activities.
Many of our graduates talk about the importance of the mutual support
networks that our programs foster.
We hope that you will spend some time at this website finding out more
about us, such as exploring some of the sources of financial
assistance available to our students. If you have questions or would
like more information, please contact us.
