A Message from Dr. Saab

I'd like to share the latest opportunity for West Virginia teachers. For the first time West Virginia participants have been invited to join a North American Study Group to the world-renowned Early Childhood Education programs of Reggio Emilia, Italy. These programs have drawn international attention by educators like Jerome Bruner, Howard Gardner and Lillian Katz as well as the professional organizations, ACEI and NAEYC. Newsweek named these preschools and infant toddler centers as number one in the world.

This is the first time, we have been invited to join the North American Study Group, with English translators and transportation to the schools during a summer semester. They normally only accept groups in February. Places are reserved for our group and will be filled on a first come basis. Students can earn 3-6 undergraduate or graduate hours. I will be happy to answer any questions you may have.

Best Regards,
Joy Faini Saab
