Emeritus Club members, who are graduates of the College
of Human Resources and Education, gathered prior to the
all-university activities for a Welcome Back Reception
on Friday afternoon, May 2. The reception was held in
the remodeled fourth floor lobby in Allen Hall that houses
the new HR&E Wall of Recognition
In addition to William A. McCauley and Robert Nunn (see
photos left below), the two new Class of 1953 Emeritus
Club members, a number of graduates that had joined the
WVU Emeritus Club in past years attended and helped to
greet the newest members. Ronald and Betty Allman of Massillon,
OH, Allen E. Currey of Silver Springs, MD, and Gloria
Cunningham, Grant Deahl, Don Garletts, and Betty Tucker
of Morgantown all participated in the event.
After an intial time spent renewing old acquaintances,
Dean Anne H. Nardi updated members on recent college activities.
Gloria Cunningham then talked about the HR&E Alumni
Association and invited those attending to join. Patty
Ryan, the College's new development officer, was introduced
and spoke briefly. Rebecca Kenyon, who is a 2003 graduate
of the five-year teacher education program and one of
this year's Outstanding Students, shared some of her experiences
