The 110th Congress of the United States Senate designated March 22, 2008 as National Rehabilitation Counselors Appreciation Day! Resolution
- Faculty Position Openings. We are searching for a faculty position to work with both our Counseling and Counseling Psychology programs. COUN/CPSY Announcement
- Graduate News. Heath Gordon (CPSY 2007 graduate) was appointed to a newly developed 2-year fellowship in adult and geriatric neuropsychology at the G.V. (Sonny) Montgomery VAMC in Jackson, MS. The opportunity will afford him two additional years of training in geropsychology, with increased emphasis on program development and scholarly productivity, and also meets Houston Conference guidelines for specialty training in clinical neuropsychology.
- 2008 Orientation. The rehabilitation counselor education e-campus program started its 6th cohort in January 2008. Check out orientation.
- Halloween Fundraiser. Our rehabilitation counseling students raised money to send care packages to the unit of a fellow student deployed to Iraq. Halloween provided the perfect opportunity to dress up!
- Growth. Sometimes our study body grows in different ways. Our counseling psychology doctoral students have been creating new Mountaineers. Check out the new borns.

- Coordinator of Counseling Program, Dr. Jacobs, is winner of the 2006 The Association for Creativity in Counseling Innovation in Counseling Award
- Coordinator of Counseling Program, Dr. Jacobs, receives HR&E Outstanding Teacher Award 2006
- Faculty Member, Dr. Tunick, is elected President of the West Virginia Psychological Association
- Rehabilitation Counseling Coordinator, Dr. Glenn, is elected President of the West Virginia Council on Problem Gambling
- Dr. Carolyn Hawley is elected Secretary of the West Virginia Council on Problem Gambling
