Five-year teacher education program
Elementary Education Program
 

Students in the 5-year program who want to become elementary teachers (grades K-6) complete the Multi-Disciplinary Studies Undergraduate Program in Elementary Education. In addition, Elementary Education students need to complete at least one of the following specializations to expand the grade levels for which they are certified to teach:

  • Early Childhood (pre-kindergarten and kindergarten)
  • Foreign Language
    • French (grades 5-9)
    • Spanish (grades 5-9)
  • English/Language Arts (grades 5-9)
  • General Science (grades 5-9)
  • Math (grades 5-9)
  • Multi-categorical Mild Disabilities (grades K-6 and 5-adult)
  • Social Studies (grades 5-9)
