Social Studies
Our online Secondary Education, MA - Social Studies Emphasis program provides opportunities for graduate study and research leading to the degree of Master of Arts (M.A.) for social studies teachers or persons who work in social studies education related situations with adolescents and adults. The purpose of the program is to provide academic experiences to increase skills in social studies education and curriculum development.
The program requires students to complete the following coursework:

| Students are required to complete ONE of the following three courses. The students advisor will help select the most appropriate course. |

| Students must also complete 18 hours of electives. Electives may be chosen from the following offerings or include other options at the discretion of the student's advisor. |
